Privacy Policy

This Policy explains what Secure Medical Inc (“we,” “us”) collects when you use BetterSex, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Because this is an adults-only service, we treat your use of it as sensitive and handle it accordingly.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account details: username, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
• Age confirmation: your affirmation that you are 18 or older.
• Content you create: the messages you send, the custom companions you build, and any inputs (names, traits, interests, descriptions) you provide to do so.

Information created through use

• Conversation history between you and your companions, stored so the chat is continuous across sessions.
• Remembered facts — short notes derived from your conversations so a companion can recall context you’ve shared.
• Usage & billing records: message counts, subscription tier, token balance and a ledger of token transactions.

Information collected automatically

• Essential cookies for login sessions and security (see our Cookie Policy).
• Basic technical logs such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps, used for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting.

2. How we use it

• To operate your account and deliver the Service;
• To generate companion responses and maintain conversation continuity;
• To enforce plan limits, process tokens, and prevent fraud and abuse;
• To keep the Service safe — including enforcing our zero-tolerance rule against any content involving minors;
• To respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.

3. AI processing of your conversations

Companion responses and generated images are produced by third-party AI model providers that we access through an AI infrastructure provider (OpenRouter). To generate a reply, the relevant parts of your conversation, your companion’s persona, and remembered facts are transmitted to that provider for processing. We send only what is needed to produce the response. We do not sell your conversations, and we do not use them to identify you to advertisers. We encourage you not to share real-world identifying details or sensitive personal information in chats.

4. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers who run the Service for us — our hosting provider, our AI infrastructure/model providers, and our payment processor — under obligations to protect it;
• Legal & safety recipients when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public. We will report apparent child sexual abuse material to NCMEC and law enforcement as the law requires;
• A successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

5. Payments

Payments are processed on our behalf by Stripe; Secure Medical Inc is the merchant of record. We do not collect or store your full card number; that information is handled by Stripe under its own privacy practices. We receive confirmation of your purchase and your plan status.

6. How long we keep it

We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records (for example, transaction and tax records, or information needed to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes).

7. Your choices & rights

You can review and update your account information, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Depending on where you live (for example, under Arizona and other U.S. state laws, or the GDPR if applicable), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these, email help@bettersex.com; we may need to verify your identity first.

8. Security

We protect your account with measures including hashed passwords, session protections, CSRF defenses, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and will notify you of a breach where the law requires.

9. No one under 18

BetterSex is strictly for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor has created an account, we will terminate it and delete the associated data. If you believe a minor is using the Service, contact us immediately.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version, and we will provide additional notice for material changes where appropriate.
